My Story

Shavonne Reed is a change agent and confidence builder, keynote speaker, and author of “Ugly Duckling: What you see is not what you get.” She is the founder of The Amplify Your Inner Rockstar Initiative, an emerging leader’s blueprint to career advancement.

She is the founder of OPUA Agency, a behavioral change health communications firm who makes healthy choices desirable, accessible, and obtainable through awareness, and connection. She promotes change and drives awareness through her charity, the Future Health NOW Foundation and the Future Health NOW Podcast.

Shavonne is a world traveled marketing and communications executive. She has been instrumental in designing successful global product launches, employee wellness and engagement programs, and executing million-dollar marketing and advertising budgets.

She is a multi-talented leader with a passion for advancing economic prosperity and health for all.

Shavonne has been integrated into the entrepreneur and corporate ecosystem of Atlanta and understands the unique dynamics each grapple with day to day. Not only does she bring a savvy entrepreneur mindset, but she also brings a seasoned corporate perspective to any conversation. She was the ‘21 Dunwoody Perimeter Chamber Chair and she mentors small businesses with the hope to mobilize more underprividledge communities to prosper.

One of her most exciting adventures includes an eight-day trip to Cuba. She studied mass communications at the University of West Georgia, completed post bachelor studies in marketing at Georgia State, and received her MBA from Georgia Southern University. She is a native of Atlanta and lives with her husband and two teen daughters Lauren & London.

HER MISSION: To inspire and empower 1,000,000 African American girls to be more confident and create harmony in their lives to preserve their future health.
